Just thought I'd drop you a line to thank you and let you know that after the September speed dating event at the Living Room I got in touch with one of my Matches (Sharon) and we arranged to meet up and have been see-ing each other regular since and have just returned from a lovely weekend break in Scotland.

I just wanted to email you to thank you for not only a great night of speed dating but also for helping me find a great girl.
My 2 friends and I had never speed dated before and to be honest were a bit dubious!It was recommended to us by a work colleague so thought we'd give it a go. We had this image that it would be full of no hopers - how wrong were we. Everyone there was just like us - tired of going to places where it is difficult to find single people of your age and if you do get chatting to a girl you never know if they are single or not.I am a policeman and work different shifts so me social life is sometimes non existent which isn't good when you're single. The girls there were really pretty - we couldn't believe our luck but the guys seemed fit too which gave us a run for our money.
Anyway I got 4 matches - the first girl I rang - Jenny was the girl I really fancied the most on the night although the other 3 were lovely too.
We had our first date 9 months ago and have never looked back. We hit it off instantly and have such a great laugh together. I really think that she will be the one so we are looking to move in together in the new year - something which I never thought would happen again to me in a long time.

Just thought we'd give you an update. Tony and I met in Newcastle thanks to ditch or date. Been together four months now. Moving in together soon. Just wanted to send our thanks to everyone at ditch or date for helping us find each other.
Just felt I wanted to send you a quick e-mail to say thank you for the great night my friend Alison and I had last night, we were nervous coming but you made us feel very welcome, the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed and we had a really fun night! We've not laughed so much in ages (not at the people but with them). We met some lovely men and women, one man in particular but have to wait and see !
Everyone was friendly.
Now why did I think it was a good idea to have 2 large glasses of wine on a week night when i have to get up at 6 for work!!! lol.
Ive promised Alison I will go to a younger event with her soon so we'll probably see you again then.
Lawrence and I met in July 04 at the Newcastle event and for both of us it was the first time we have ever tried speed dating. I had been on my own for 13 years, without anyone special in my life and had been asked by a friend to go with her. Lawrence went on the off chance that there may be some places available and hadn't pre booked.
Lucky for me that he did go!
Lawrence was the 1st person I talked to and we hit it off straight away, but I still only put him down as a maybe date.
But a couple of days later that maybe turned out to be a definate and from the second date we have never been apart since.
Our wedding is booked for 7th July 07 and we can honestly say that without the speed dating event we would never have met and experienced love that we have for each other.

I met Ian at a Ditch or Date event in Swindon sometime ago.
It was the first time that either of us had been speed dating.
I had recently returned from living abroad & he was just about to move into the area.
Neither of us were particularly looking for a long term relationship - it was as much about getting out & meeting new people as anything else. We clicked straight away talking about our love of Cornwall & travelling. Our first date was a meal locally, but I was hooked after he took me to the coast for fish & chips for our second date!
On May 5th we're getting married & will be spending our Honeymoon in Japan.
I often tell people that the entry fee was the best £20 I ever spent.
