The Plough PH
Darenth Valley River Walk, Eynsford, next Sunday 13th July. This is a really picturesque country walk so make the most of summer and come along! We walk for 4 miles along the river around the lovely countryside of Eynsford, which is in the Darenth Valley, a picturesque area of Kent. We meet at 12.45 pm which gives everyone a chance to have a lay-in, and then have a leisurely walk during the afternoon. The walk is mainly pathways along the river with some country lanes so you don\'t need your walking boots. Of interest on the walk will be Eynsford Viaduct, the Darent River, Lullingstone Castle, Lulingstone Church and of course the famous Roman Villa. Halfway round the walk we stop for refreshments at the Lavender Farm which has a gift shop and your chance to buy lavender flavour ice-cream should you so wish! Our walks are a great opportunity of meeting new people and making new friends who share the same interest. Come and join us for a great afternoon out. We walk, whatever the weather! We meet in the car park of the Plough Inn which is near the river and old bridge in Eynsford, and we finish the walk there with a much needed drink! Do not worry if you are coming alone as you will have a great time and be made to feel welcome. If there is anyone you have enjoyed talking to that you would like to meet again, just let us know and we will do the work for you! We hope to see you there.
