Most speed daters are professionals who want to meet more people. They're generally normal, attractive people who just aren't meeting people through their work or immediate circle of friends.
It depends on the event. All of our events are arranged into specific age groups. Check our events page for all of our events and their age bands.
The age range is a guideline only, if you are slightly under or above the age limit you are still welcome to attend. However, if you are, or appear to be, significantly outside of the age range then you are unlikely to get a match.
Depending on the venue, we aim to have up to 20 men and 20 women at each event, though this may vary.
Yes, 3 or 4 minutes can be a long time with someone you do not 'connect' with. However, it is long enough to know whether you would like to invest a few hours getting to know each other on a further date.
Smart casual is best, something you feel comfortable and confident in - think what you would wear to go on a mid-week date.
Yes, the events take place in rooms which have been specifically hired for the event
Yes, most speed daters do come alone. Once you have registered you can have a drink at the bar and mix with other participants.
The more the merrier but they will need to have registered for the event.
You will be contacted within 24 hours of the event to inform you of your matches either via email or mobile phone. You can also log onto our site at any time with your email address and password to check your matches the day after the event.
We have to manage numbers carefully to ensure equal numbers of men and women at our events. However we are often able to take additional bookings that do not effect the balance of numbers - eg two men and two women. Please phone to check.
Once each event is confirmed you will be able to go to our secure server to pay by credit/debit card. If you prefer you can call to book on 077966 95015. Alternatively, you will be able to send a cheque as long as it is at least 7 days before the event. You will need to call the booking line to complete the registration form over the phone. We will reserve your place and confirm your booking once your cheque has cleared.
